The Rogue Wordler

Rogue Wordler explores how people actually think through Wordle puzzles. Each day I analyze a real solve using what I call the Rogue Genius Method — a decision-focused approach built around structure, elimination, and board discipline.

The site is organized around three ideas:

  • Start Here — a quick introduction to the project
  • The Manifesto — why Wordle is really about decision-making
  • The Method — the framework used to analyze each puzzle

Below you’ll find the latest puzzle breakdowns — sometimes elegant, sometimes spectacularly wrong — but always examined honestly.

The Rogue Wordler

Daily Wordle logic. Human-first. Bot-agnostic.

A daily breakdown of Wordle puzzles that focuses on how decisions are made — not just which word wins.

What This Is

Rogue Wordler is not a Wordle tips site, and it’s not a highlight reel.

It’s a daily case study in decision-making under uncertainty — using Wordle as the constraint.

Each entry breaks down:

  • why a guess was made
  • what information it was meant to extract
  • where the puzzle narrowed
  • and where judgment mattered more than probability

Sometimes the solve is elegant.
Sometimes it’s messy.
The thinking is always the point.

If you want the thinking behind this project — not the scores, not the screenshots —start with the Manifesto.

What Makes This Different

Most Wordle analysis asks:

“What was the best word?”

The Rogue Wordler asks:

“What was the best decision given what was known at the time?”

That means:

  • intent matters
  • context matters
  • “luck” is interrogated, not accepted
  • and bots don’t get the final word
